Scheels or Ainslie's Title:Scared-of-Heights Carousel

We rode the carousel at Scheel's the other day.

It took me a few tries to get the photo right, which allowed a show of Ainslie's various emotions while riding.
Terror:

Ambivalence:

Alright, maybe this isn't so bad:

And a fish.

Trick or Treating 2012

Our cousins were in town for Halloween so we got to go Trick or Treating with them. It was so fun.

Ainslie's 1st day of Kindergarten

After having a really fun summer, Ainslie had her first day of kindergarten.
She was so brave and I think had a really good time. We are excited to have Camden as a carpool buddy. It is going to be a great year.

Folk Dancing Columbians

Dave and Jody had some Columbian Folk dancers stay with them. We got to see them in action. What great energy these people have.

Dancing on Temple Square

My mom and I took the girls to ride the Trax, eat at Blue Lemon and visit Temple Square.

The church history museum has a super fun kids activity center.

Planet Play

We used up the rest of our planet play money and tickets getting a samurai sword and pink "puff ball."

June

June  has started eating baby food and thinks sitting up is pretty cool.
I may or may not have been giving her ice cream.

Family Hike

We hike up to Dog Lake uonp Big Cottonwood Canyon over Labor Day. It was a little drizzly but it made for a beautiful hike.

At the Zoo

We went with Grandma Jody and Grandpa Dave to the zoo.
Evie was a little bit sleepy. . .
but we had so much fun. The polar bears are amazing. Thanks for the season pass Grandma and Grandpa we are already excited to go back.

Dress up with the Neighbors

Ainslie and Evie love to play dress up. It is especially fun when the neighbors join in.

Ainslie at Lagoon

Ainslie got to go to Lagoon with Grandma Sue, Adam and Angie.
She had tons of fun. Thanks for letting her tag along.

School Clothes

Ainslie has never been one to let me pick out her clothes.

Although she has some cute pieces, the ensemble is usually different than I had envisioned. She is getting bigger and wants to look "cute," and she will be starting kindergarten next week.

My new idea is to take pictures in some outfits that we both like and let her look through them to pick the one she wants. I feel like I can have a little more control over how she looks going out the door but still let her express her creativity.

. . .and she kind of gets into the whole "fashion-model" thing. Silly girl.

Backyard Fort

We took the kitchen chairs and blankets to the backyard and built a fort.

We enjoyed a few granola bars and had a great day.
