The last 8 weeks have been full of lots of firsts with our little girl around. First ride in a car. First bath (pooped on Dad, got even and pooped on Mom on the third bath – we’re more cautious in the timing of baths now). First trip around the neighborhood in the awesome stroller. First time to church. First smiles.
First time hearing the vacuum (our favorite trick since the toes!). First hike.
Etc. It’s been great. Having a little girl around is just amazing, and she makes us happy all the time (even when we’re walking laps around the parking lot at midnight trying to get her to go to sleep).
The first weekend in June was Ainslie’s blessing at church. We were very happy to have lots of family come for the special occasion, and it was great to have them stick around for some treats afterwards at the pavilion (one bedroom apartments aren’t the best for entertaining).
The firsts keep coming too! In just over a week and a half – baby’s first airplane ride! Now that baby’s first passport has arrived (denoting the proper gender), we can confidently say that we will leave for Germany on July 5. It’s crazy to think that it’s coming so soon! The summer has gone by so quickly with work and baby care, but it’s all been very good. Josh has enjoyed his time at Durham Jones & Pinegar in Salt Lake, and hopefully he’ll have the chance to go back next summer again. Janae has been busy being a wonderful mom taking care of Ainslie all day (and night) long.
More to come . . .

Oh, my! Ainslee is beautiful! And Janae, you cut your hair! It looks lovely. I am so jealous of your time in Germany, thanks for posting pictures, etc. I'm so glad you are having a good time!
