Summer at the Pool

This summer, Janae and Ainslie spent a lot of time at the Veterans Memorial Pool here in Provo. Almost all of these pool trips happened while Josh was in Salt Lake working, but we lucked out and were able to get the whole family at the pool on the last day it was open this year. Ainslie absolutely loved the pool, everything about it: her swimming suit, her swim diapers, her hat. She knew exactly want needed to happen before a trip to the pool. The pool was a great place for Ainslie. She loved playing in the shallow splash pool and jumping off the sides of the big pool. You may not be able to tell from the picture on the right (you should be able to click on it for a better view), but she really did enjoy going down the big slide with Janae.

The little slide was a little more her speed. Ainslie's tube-suit helped keep her head above water when she got a little overly brave. As much fun as the pool is, you have to wrap up in a towel and head home sometime. The pool really was one of our favorite things in Provo this whole summer. We're going to miss it during these last few warm days of the summer. We're all a little worried about what we're going to do this winter when it's too cold to go play outside . . .

I'm a little worried too about what the winter holds. I don't want to be stuck inside. That is a cute tube suit. Did it work well?

Janae, I have the same problem with Malakai. Just so you know, the Lehi pool at the legacy center is indoors and opened all year long. They have an amazing kids area too. Malakai just loves it! Also, about the binky...Kai is 2 and still has his. I figure he will give it up eventually or be mocked ridiculously in the 3rd grade!
