Teeth

This kid? Don't even think about messin' with her. Want a picture of the two teeth that are rumored to be hiding behind that binky? You're gonna have to fight for it. We fought* for it . . .

*(No babies were harmed in the posting of this post. Only irritated. We were very gentle, she just wiggles. A lot.)

10 months!

Today Ainslie turned 10 months old! Crazy how time flies by. She's walking more and more each day, learning how to drink from a sippy cup, and has lots of other tricks. But, the best thing about Ainslie growing up is that we get to see her personality develop. She loves being social with people we meet at school or at the store. Her favorite is making other little kids smile. She's our little sweetheart, and we love her lots!

As she gets older we've wondered whether she looks more like Janae or more like Josh. Tell us what you think in the comments!

New Frontier . . .

Here's something new! Ainslie's been working up to this for a while now, but she waited until Josh got back from Virginia to take her official first steps. Won't be long before she's cruising all over the place. . . .

Virginia . . .

This last weekend Josh traveled with two other BYU law students to compete in the Regent University National Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition in Virginia Beach, VA. The competition was great. The team did well, qualifying for the quarterfinals, but then ended up with a little time for sightseeing Saturday afternoon when they didn't advance further.

Here are a few of the highlights from the trip:

The law school at Regent has some pretty amazing facilities. The school has multiple moot court practice rooms where the competition rounds were held. No class rooms serving as make-shift courtrooms here. This was the real deal . . .

The Founder's Inn is located right on campus, and offers some pretty classy accomodations. The rooms were great, and the wallpaper in the stairwell was awesome . . .

After the quarter-finals, the team took advantage of the free time to enjoy the sunny weather walking along Virginia Beach . . .

It was later confirmed that the signs which apparently prohibit swearing along the beach actually DO prohibit swearing. Who would have guessed?
